Elizabeth Prescott specialist in one on on vocal training performance and audition coaching breathing and body work

Elizabeth Prescott

SERVICES: 1:1 Vocal Training (All Styles), Performance & Audition Coaching, Breathing and Bodywork
ONLINE ONLY

After teaching voice and musicianship at her Los Angeles studio for over twenty years, she now enjoys teaching online from her new studio in Saint George, Utah.

Having worked extensively in her early career with legendary teacher and author David Craig, she went on to teach workshops in audition and performance technique at such venues as the Kennedy Center and the William Inge Center for the Arts.

As for vocal technique, she successfully combined extensive professional musical theater and light opera credits with film and recording credits, including Grammy-winning L.A. Jazz Choir, and she loved being able to sing freely in virtually any style, and especially to guide her students to sing, audition and perform at “Olympic” levels. Still, she continued to seek out the best possible instruction on the planet, piecing together what she learned from each of them and applying it to the various styles she taught and performed herself. And then in 2011, she discovered MDH Breathing Coordination and found it to be “the missing piece” for the voice that tied everything together, even though she hadn’t realized anything was missing. But suddenly, there was no mystery, no struggle. She knew this was something that she “couldn’t not do”.

In 2014, her hundreds of hours of specialized training culminated in Lausanne, Switzerland when she became fourth in the world and first in the U.S. to be certified in this practice.

In 2016, she presented at both UCLA Medical Center and UC Irvine patient conferences helping non-singers find greater freedom and balance in breathing. In 2017, she completed the English translation of the highly acclaimed book “La Voie de la Voix” to “The Path of the Voice” by her close colleague Robin De Haas, internationally acclaimed vocal consultant.

Having met Crystal Barron during her journey with Breathing Coordination, it is a great joy to join CrystalVoice Studio as we share the same passion for clear, positive teaching, collaboration and constant discovery in this wonderful world of voice and performance.
