It’s time to get #CrystalClear about your voice

You’ve been wanting voice lessons for a while–you are ready to figure out what’s happening with your technique, your breathing, how to find your signature sound and get rid of that darn flip in your voice. But more than that? You want to perform. You want to light up the stage with your unique rendition of YOUR favorite song. You want to make your mark and own the stage—singing the way you know you can.

No Opera lessons here
(unless you are into that kind of thing.)

The days of “you have to get a foundation in classical music to be able to sing” are dead and gone
(and oh by the way, proven by science!)

Sing the style of music you want, according to YOUR schedule.

CrystalVoice for Teens

Hi, I’m Crystal Barron and I developed CrystalVoice for Teens so that younger singers can have access to professional elite training from the beginning, without the elite price tag.

Add your name to the list of successful singers who went through their high school years training with Crystal:

Sophia James (Wackerman)
Emmy Meli (Emily Lomeli)
Jack Munson (studying Popular Music Performance at USC)
Sara Mislang (studying Popular Music Performance at CBU)
Brennley Brown (Country singing recording artist)
David Gordon (Professional Musical Theatre Performer, NY)

and recent Los Alamitos students:
Danielle Barron (lead in Trax 2020, FX, 2022)
Bita Norbakhsh (lead in FX, 2022)
Jay Garcia (lead in Trax, 2022 and FX 2023)
Kendall Powers (lead in Trax, 2023)
Chason Bytel (lead in Connexion, 2023)

So what’s included in the program?

2 private half hour lessons per month, according to YOUR schedule. If you want it the same time every other week, that's great.  If you want to schedule as you go, that's cool too.  We know life can be hectic, and that’s why we allow for flexibility of cancellations and changing up to 24 hours before your scheduled lesson (as long as you get your lessons in before the end of the month—no rollovers, sorry).

1 performance master class per month This is a super critical component of this program because performing is a different skill than just singing, and in order to feel comfortable performing, you have to build a resilient nervous system! Each month we bring in a different clinician who is an actual real live professional musician/singer to work with each performer and help you bring out your very own special sauce. If you cannot attend in person, we will live stream via Zoom and provide a recording for those not able to attend.

• Live Performances Performance opportunities at a local venue, with live accompaniment (additional charge may apply)!

What CrystalVoice Teens have to say:

Working with Ms. Barron has been an incredible. She is incredibly thorough within her lessons and is remarkable teacher. The amount of improvement seen in even a short amount of time is truly amazing. In just 6 months of lessons I have gotten constant compliments from friends, family, and directors about how much my voice, pitch, intonation, and even confidence has improved. The work we have done has been beneficial in so many ways and I frankly can’t wait to continue.
— Chason Bytel
Crystal has been an amazing guide and mentor for my daughter.  Beyond helping students master technique, she also enhances their confidence and belief in their potential for growth.  I love how she teaches her students that a healthy voice comes from a healthy body and mind.  She’s the best!
— Tara Gruenewald
Working with Crystal has helped me change my voice and performance skills for the better. Her sessions are crucial to me as a performer.

FAQ

  • At this time more intensive vocal training is available for professional or professional track singers only. If that’s you, then schedule a phone call and let’s talk.

  • Enrollment is extremely limited based on Crystal’s professional calendar. When we are full, the registration will take you to a waiting list, where you can sign up to be notified when a spot becomes available.

  • Any singer 13-18 (8th-12th grade) years old, who is ready to dig in and figure out your voice so that you can level up to the next choir, land a solo, or even be the lead in your choir’s show set or next big production!

  • Sign up using the button below. First payment is automatically withdrawn at the time you sign up, and then the first of the month thereafter until canceled. Once your first payment has been withdrawn you can immediately schedule your first lessons and hit the ground running. Each month your subscription fee will be drawn automatically so you don’t have to remember to send payments. You can cancel at any time with 30 days written notice.

  • YES!  There is no requirement to be an advanced or professional track singer.  As long as there is space in the program, you can apply to join!

  • While performing is not mandatory, performance class attendance is an important part of the CrystalVoice Teen program. If you don’t feel comfortable singing, that’s totally fine–show up anyway, and learn from the group.

  • This is a month-to-month agreement.  If you need to pause or stop your lessons, just give the studio 30 days’ written notice.

  • You can reach out to me directly to see if I have any additional availability. My experience has been that unless a high school student is career track, wanting to study music or musical theatre in college or has vocal health issues that need ongoing care, 2 half-hour lessons per month is an ideal number of classes to fit around the many school and family obligations of the typical teen student.

  • I typically don’t do competitions unless they are specifically for college scholarships.  In my experience, many competitions are more about the teacher “showing off” what their students can do and less about actual student learning and success.  I think other performance opportunities are a much healthier alternative for most students. If a student has been with me for a while and wants to participate in competitions, contact me directly, and we can discuss which would be appropriate.

  • I don’t offer traditional recitals, but we do hold showcases at public venues several times a year.  Students get to sing the songs they love for family, friends, and whoever else wanders in while we are there. It is a very fun, supportive environment.
